This photo showing the old water tower on the Southwest corner of Cody St. and Becknell St. back in the 1940s. Hand scribed on the back... "They forgot to shut the pump off and the tank ran over".

This picture was mailed to the Haskell County Museum from Dolly Taton Hockett on September 20, 2013. In a letter she writes...

"I spent most of my school years in Sublette and I love antique things. I am 87 years old. My mom was an Alexander and my dad was a Taton.

She also says... Mrs. Williams was County Superintendent when I was in grade school and I really thought a lot of her. "

She took the picture as a child.
